Advance Security Officer  Training

Houston Harris Security Academy found that today's Security Officer's have more responsibilities than ever before, adding to the growing list of demands for the security professional.The training they receive is minimal if not completely inadequate in most cases.  We recognize the importance of training. Our core values include Honesty & Integrity in training. Our training goal is to prepare  Security personal to face today's threats while being mindful of liability reduction.

What other school call ADVANCE TRAINING is our standard training. The training programs are based on proprietary Defensive/self-defense tactics, Reality Based Martial Arts, Tactical & Defensive Gun. The system is a highly efficient, universally applicable Defensive/self-defense tactics, Reality Based Martial Arts and Tactical & Defensive Gun

Our  programs gives officers a comprehensive understanding and practical base in Defensive  Tactics by teaching them how to effectively and efficiently defend against surprise active and static Verbal threats.
Our Defensive Tactics Program is comprised of several disciplines .Most discipline have three levels of training, each of which has a specific focus and includes a variety of Defensive techniques,Tactical & Defensive Gun, elliptical based leverage techniques and scenario-based self-defenses. Each level also includes lectures on a wide variety of defensive–related topics, such as defens psychology, violence prevention and situational/environmental awareness techniques, and human anatomy

It is a 16 hour course. At the conclusion of the course, you will receive your Certificate of Completion. 
It is a prerequisite that you have completed Level 4 P.P.O. course prior to applying for this course.

                                               Building & Room Clearing  /  Slicing the Pie"Pieing"

a corner is the term used for a technique used to traverse a corner while clearing a structure or while
maneuvering around structures/objects out of doors. In general, there are but a small handful of methods 
for dealing with corners, rooms, stairwells etc. You can "button hook" directly into the area and deal with
whats there. This is typically a "dynamic" tactic where speed of entry and aggressive action is required.
Or you can "Slice the Pie" to negotiate the turn, which is a systematic clearing of the area in "slices".
It is a 16-40 hour course at this time. At the conclusion of the course, you will receive your Certificate of
Completion.

                Force on Force Matrix

Active Shooter Event in the Workplace or Academic Environment  Experience the practical application of the
skills and tactics you have in your arsenal using airsoft handguns /rifles which shoot plastic projectiles (bb's)
up to 400 fps. Develop your reaction times when faced with simulated attacks with a knife or handgun.
See how you respond to an attacker running at you full speed from 21 feet with a plastic knife (Tueller Drill).
Experience first hand attacks from close contact and intermediate distances. Practice shoot house tactics
against armed adversaries...quite different from shooting targets in a shoot house. We will provide airsoft
Glocks and rifles, as well as head/eye/neck/hand protection.It is a 16-40 hour course at this time. At the conclusion of the course,
you will receive your Certificate of Completion.
